Billy Gillespie (Sgt. MacMillan)
Born in Philadelphia and transplanted to Florida in his teens, Billy was promptly traumatized with poor imitations of cheese steak sandwiches and no Philadelphia soft pretzels
After a friend suggest taking an acting class in high school, Billy was hooked. Performing in several school plays he won the Best Actor award his senior year. In college Billy worked at finding a field of study, finally realizeing theatre was where he was most passionate. Upon graduation, Billy acted in many regional theatres and moved to New York, acting in film, television and theatre.
He now resides in Los Angeles. Partial credits include the lead role in the indie film "Wormkillers" and a supporting role in "Doc Hollywood", co-starring and supporting roles in the television shows "Law and Order", "Homicide" and "In the Heat of the Night". Billy was a founding member of the sketch comedy group "Third Rail Comedy", serving as actor, director and contributing writer. Billy is also a member of Performers at Work Theatre Company. You might also catch him in principal roles in numerous national and regional commercials.
